Next question

I'm shortsighted. I can see in focus when things are no further than about 30 cm from my face.

Question. I have a mirror, no more than 30 cm from my face. Why is the reflection of my room not in focus? Huh?

The boring physics explanation is that a mirror reflects light so the object is the distance to the mirror plus the distance from the mirror to the object away. If you had a display screen with a camera on it that you were looking at instead it would all been in focus if the camera was in focus. Which is probably about as clear as the world is to me if I take my glasses off.
